Application:

The pressing manufacturing mode is designed to produce glass items with d�cor and with a wide range of simple and complex shapes. The pressing system may be combined with gob feeding and continuous casting (in combination with the horizontal movement of the telescope unit and the vertical movement of the lower servo-motor system). It is also compatible with every mould system available (block mould, basket mould, hinge mould).

The pressing mould is mounted onto the telescope unit, which moves the pressing mould into different positions. In the feeding station the pressing mould is supplied with a precisely defined quantity of glass by the feeder. The telescope unit then moves the mould into the pressing station. If necessary, the shearmark may be re-heated by infrared burners, before the glass item is pressed. The pressing plunger and ring are moved by the servo-motor pressing unit, which is mounted onto the crossbeam. The pressing unit is equipped with a sensor, which reduces the pressing pressure to a holding pressure as soon as the item is sufficiently pressed. All production steps, including the cooling time, are individually adjusted to the requirements of the article, since the production cycle is freely programmed. The glass item is taken out by hand or fully automatically.

It is also compatible with every mould system available (block mould, basket mould, hinge mould).

The roundtable is equipped with 2 to 20 stations. The servo-driven table allows to run production on varying numbers of stations for varying capacities. The roundtable moves the mould and closing device for hinge moulds into the feeding station, where the mould is fed with a precisely defined quantity of glass. If necessary, the shearmark may be fire-polished by infrared burners in an intermediate station, before the glass item is pressed in the press station. The plunger and ring are moved by the top pressing unit. The servo-motor system is equipped with a sensor which reduces the pressing pressure to a holding pressure as soon as the item is sufficiently pressed. After one or more cooling stations the item is fully automatically taken out.
